Gwennie Davis, 45, of 4494 Taft Avenue SE, died Thursday, December 1, 2005 at her home following a sudden illness.

Funeral Services will be held Sunday, December 4, 2005 at 4pm at Lensing Funeral and Cremation Service, 605 Kirkwood Ave., Iowa City, where the family will greet friends after 2pm. Burial will be at a later date. A memorial fund has been established.

Gwennie was born June 21, 1960 in Des Moines, Iowa. On May 31, 2002 she married Mark Davis in Iowa City.

Gwennie was a homemaker and cherished the time spent with Mark, her family and grandchildren. She loved animals, especially her cats Gizmo, Little Butt, Ebo and Shadow.

Gwennie is survived by her husband, Mark; Her mother, Sharon Bryant and her step-father Paul of Coralville, Iowa; Her father, Daniel Rhoades and her step-mother Skeeter of Clio, Iowa; Her children, Nadeana Austin and William Hickey III; Two grandchildren, Shannon and Jeffrey; Her mother-in-law, Joan Davis of Iowa City; Three half brothers, Greg and Larry Groomes of Des Moines and Kevin Groomes of Coralville and One half sister, Curtiseena Hunter of Iowa City

Gwennie was preceded in death by one half-sister, Helen
