OBITUARY.
On July 1st 1903, occurred the death of Mrs. Mattie A. Trine at her home in Alton, Kansas, after an illness of only thirty-six hours. Mattie A. Stover was born near Iowa City on "Indian Lookout" farm May 26, 1847, was educated at St. Agathas Seminary and the State University.
She was united in marriage to Ed Trine August 23rd 1871. They resided in Marshalltown until 1876 when they return to Iowa City and lived for three years. In 1879 they removed to Alton, Kansas, where they have since resided. Deceased was the eldest daughter of the late Jeremiah Stover. She leaves a husband, one daughter and a son besides a host of friends to mourn her loss.
