Pamela Lea Alt, 74, formerly of Coralville died on March 6, 2024, at Eden Acres in Perry, Iowa with her daughters at her side.

A private graveside committal service will be at 11:00 am on Tuesday, March 19, 2024, at Ridgewood Cemetery, North Liberty. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the hospice organization of your choice.

Pamela was born on June 29, 1949, in Charles City, Iowa, the daughter of Clyde and Marian (Hoglund) Boveia. She was raised in Nashua, graduated from Nashua Community High School, and attended North Iowa Area Community College in Mason City.

In 1971, Pamela married Richard A. Smith of St. Louis, MO. From their union, Susanne and Crystal were born. Later in life, Pamela married Arthur Alt at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Iowa City. Pam and Art loved spending time together gardening, raising puppies, and attending the Midwest Old Threshers Reunion every year. Arthur passed in 1996.

Throughout her life, Pam enjoyed sewing, quilting, cooking, crafting and gardening. She was never without a furry friend by her side, raising multiple Westies and Yorkies over the years.

Pamela is survived by her daughters, Susanne (Shane) Sloan and Crystal (Steven) Boersma; stepdaughter Melissa (Tom) Schnoebelen; grandchildren, Drew, Dylan, Jace, Evelyn and Margaret; siblings, Earl (Phyllis) Pelland, Gary (Beverly) Boveia and Myrna (Wendell) Uhlenhop. She is also survived by numerous extended family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Dale Pelland and Dennis Pelland, and husband Arthur Alt.
