John Allen Krieger, 87, of Iowa City, IA went to be with our Lord and loved ones who preceded him: his parents, his beloved wife Toni, and many family and friends on Tuesday, March 5, 2024.

We lost our adored dad, grandfather, and many lost a great friend. He was loved by many. John has been “the rock” to so many people, and there was so much more to him than just being a dad and grandpa, though to us that was his greatest role.

John is survived by his two daughters: Beth (Greg) Blandford of Allen, Texas, and Jane (Bob) Meyer of Dubuque, Iowa and by his grandchildren: Mattie Blandford, Isaac (Blake) Blandford, Katie (John) Sterling, and Ben Meyer.

Graveside service will be held at 12:30 PM Friday, September 6, 2024, at Memory Gardens Cemetery followed by a Celebration of Life at The Elks Lodge in Iowa City from 2-4 PM.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to John Krieger Memorial, Iowa City Elks Lodge #590, 637 Foster Road, Iowa City, IA 52245.
