Eldon Jess Andrews, 82, passed on Tuesday, September 12, 2023 in Iowa City.

Eldon was born February 24, 1941 in Des Moines, the son of Jess and Juanita Andrews. He was a graduate of Saydel High School and obtained his Photography degree in New York City.

An accomplished professional photographer, Eldon was the second-generation owner and operator of Andrews Studio in Des Moines. A compassionate listener, he enjoyed spending time with family and friends watching sports, telling jokes, and going on annual fishing trips to Minnesota with the Price family.

Survived by daughters, Debra Vega of St. Paul, MN and Susan Andrews of Des Moines; 3 grandchildren, Alejandro (Teri), Adia, and Andrew Vega; 3 great-grandchildren, Isabella, Kiona, and Athena.

Eldon was preceded in death by parents and sister, Nadine (Don) Ross.

He will be laid to rest with private burial at Morrisburg Cemetery, near Panora.
