Paisley Jo Welk, 27 days old, passed away on Saturday August 19, 2023 at University of Iowa children's hospital in the loving arms of her mother, surrounded by her family.

Paisley was born on July 23, 2023 at Trinity Hospital in Moline Illinois, 16 weeks premature. She was then life flighted to the University of Iowa hospitals.

Although she was only on this earth for 27 days, she gave her family a lifetime of cherished memories and touched the hearts of many. She was loved beyond measure by everyone who knew her.

Paisley's theme at her baby shower and her nursery was bumblebees. Her family asks that whenever you see a bumblebee, you take a moment to remember our sweet girl.

Paisely is survived by her mother, Hannah Haussmann and her father, Cameron Welk. Grandparents: Connie Haussmann (Kris Goetz), Sarah Harksen (Ryan Stoner), Fred (Keely) Haussmann, and Jamie (Jaclyn) Welk, as well as many loving great grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family.

Paisley was preceded in death by her maternal great grandparents: James and Debbie Guinn; great aunts: Jenni and Mary, and her Uncle Matthew.

The family wishes to share their sincerest gratitude to the doctors, nurses, and staff at University of Iowa hospitals who took loving care of our precious girl, and to the staff at the Ronald McDonald House.

Also, a special thank you to all of Team Paisley and everyone who prayed for and supported our family during this time.

Cremation rights will be accorded on Wednesday, August 23, 2023 with a private service.
