Mark Allen Berger, 39, of Kalona died May 15, 1999.

Memorial Services will be Saturday, September 17, 2005 at 2pm at Grace Fellowship with Rev. Gary Miller officiating. Burial will be in the Kalona Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family has established a memorial fund. Arrangements are with Lensing Funeral and Cremation Service.

Mark was born November 18, 1959 in Carroll, Iowa, the son of Raymond J. and Pat Horn Berger. He was united in marriage to Joyce Kelley on June 14, 1980 in the Coralville United Methodist Church.

Mark had been an automotive machinist and enjoyed collecting NASCARS and working on automobiles.

The family would like to thank all the family and friends who have been supportive throughout the past six years. Special thanks to the two gentlemen who explored and found Mark on September 8, 2005.

Mark is survived by his wife, Joyce Berger-Weber and her present husband David of Mt. Vernon; his children, Kelley Berger and Toby Thirtyacre and their children Alyssa and Erica, Stephanie Berger and her fiancé Josh Brady and their children Keagan and Kaelyn, Jaimie Berger and her daughter Amber Rose, all of North Liberty and Zachary Berger of Mt. Vernon; his parents, Pat Passmore Berger of Riverside, Iowa and Raymond (Janet) of Audubon; his sister Pamella (Steve) Gillham of Hills; three brothers Raymond (Pat) Berger Jr. of Springfield, MO., Christopher (Donna) Berger of Iowa City and Bradley (Angela) Berger of Riverside; his grandmothers, Claire Horn and Selma Berger, both of Sioux City; numerous step-brothers and step-sisters, aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

You will always be missed Welby!

He was preceded in death by his sister, Lynne, an infant brother and grandparents.
