Last rites for Mrs. John (Blanche) Rourke, 73, mother of Mrs. John (Carol) Krob, were held at St. Mary's church, Oxford, Sept. 4, with burial in Mount Calvary cemetery, Oxford.
Mrs. Rourke died at an Iowa City nursing home, Sept. 1, following a lengthy illness.
The daughter of George and Caroline Dvorsky Miller, she was born at Morse, Jan. 26, 1902. She was a graduate of Iowa State Teachers college. She was married to John L. Rourke at Nolan Settlement, Aug. 2, 1921.
Mrs. Rourke was a member of St. Mary's church, Oxford.
She is survived by her husband, a son, Roland, Des Moines; 6 daughters, Mrs. Tom (Dolores) McGillin, Cosgrove, Mrs. Krob, Mrs. Verle (Veronica) Hoye, Basking Ridge, N.J., Mrs. John (Esther) Peters, Solon, Mrs. James (Theresa) Stelk, Davenport and Mrs. Patrick (Sarah) O'Reilly, Selma, Calif., and 3 sisters, Mrs. Agnes Hotz, Mrs. Gene Diehl and Mrs. Marchella Fisher, all of Iowa City.
