Funeral services for Lester B. Bahmler, 83, Silvis, Ill., father of Don Bahmler, were held at St. Bridget's church, Nolan Settlement, Aug. 21 with the Rev. George Bachman officiating. Burial was in St. Bridgets cemetery.

Mr. Bahmler, a former resident of Solon, died at Lutheran hospital, Moline, Aug. 18.

He was born in Solon Dec. 2, 1891 and was married to Florence Rinda at Nolan Settlement Oct. 20, 1915. He was a retired farmer.

He is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Earl (Margaret) Whitney, Silvis, Ill.; 2 sons, Richard L., Kansas City, Mo. and Donald E., Tipton; 7 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and 3 brothers, Earl, Solon; Lancelot, North Liberty and Floyd, Iowa City. He was preceded in death by his wife.
