Kyle Newman, 43, lost his battle with mental health, on February 18, 2023.
Kyle married Christanna (Beckman) Newman on October 23, 2004. Together they became parents to two wonderful boys, Logan and Parker.
Kyle was an amazing dad and loving husband. The love for his boys was unmeasurable. He enjoyed decorating for Halloween and Christmas with the boys. They enjoyed many adventures together including fishing, swimming, painting, Lego building, Hot Wheel racing & exploring at the reservoir. They also enjoyed watching Spaceballs together. He taught Logan how to mow last summer and both boys how to ride their bikes.
He took pride in his job as a Paraeducator at NCJH where he was known as Mr. Kyle. Kyle enjoyed spirit weeks to the fullest, where his charisma was unmatched. He is loved and will be missed by his school community.
Kyle is known for his sarcastic, dry sense of humor. He did the best Donald Duck and elephant impersonations. His mind was full of useless trivia and his answers to our questions always included a science or history lesson. Kyle enjoyed writing and painting. Kyle loved to river fish and caught some of the largest catfish just to take a picture and then release them; our boys will hold this memory close. Kyle was also the master of the kitchen where the boys enjoyed helping.
Kyle’s family includes his wife, Christanna; two sons, Logan and Parker; parents-in-law, Gary and Joan Beckman; Brothers-in-law, Jasen (JoAnn) Beckman and David (Mara) Beckman; and nephews and niece, Ryan, Connor and Annie.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Susan Templin; sister, Mary Beth (Templin) Hilgendorf; and nephew, Zachary Beckman.
Kyle was a member at St. Thomas More Catholic Church in Coralville where his funeral services will be held at 12:00 pm, Saturday, March 4, 2023. Visitation will begin at 9 am, and last until the start of the service. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery in Coralville.
Kyle, while your pain and internal suffering has ended, the boys and mine has just begun. We love you and I will never let our boys forget how much you loved them. May you be at peace with a mind no longer racing against you. Until we meet again, we love you.
