Christine M. Donahue, 21 of Iowa City formerly of Greenwich, New York and Lewisburg, Pennsylvania died Thursday, September 1, 2005 at the University of Iowa Hospital and Clinics after a courageous battle with a malignant brain tumor.

The family will greet friends on Wednesday, from 5:00 to 8:00 pm September 7, 2005 at Lensing’s Oak Hill-210 Holiday Road, Coralville. Burial will be in (Cemetery) in Greenwich New York at a later date. In lieu of flowers Memorials may be directed to American Brain Tumor Association www.abta.org, Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation www.pbtfus.org or Camp Mak-a-Dream www.campdream.org in Missoula, Montana.

Christine was born May 22, 1984 in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania the daughter of James L. and Virginia R. (Shaw) Donahue. She graduated from Lewisburg High School, after high school she attended the University of the Arts in Philadelphia and later attended William Paterson University in Wayne New Jersey.

Christine had a wonderful personality; she was outgoing, had many, many friends and was loved by all who knew her. Christine was always helping others; she loved singing and had many leading roles in her high school musicals. She very much enjoyed spending time with children, during her summers she volunteered teaching summer musical theatre programs for kids. She also volunteered at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.

She is survived by her parents, Dr. Jim and Ginny Donahue of Iowa City, three loving sisters; Amy Donahue of Seattle, Washington, Lisa and Marie Donahue of Iowa City; Her grandparents; Henry and Helen Shaw of Greenwich, NY, Robert and Margarethe Donahue of Brooklyn, NY; she is survived by the love of her life, Ken Fowser of Ocean City, New Jersey; by her aunts and uncles; Arlene Starr (Skip) of Cambridge, NY, Daniel Shaw(June) of Greenwich, NY, David Shaw (Roberta) of Simpsonville, SC, Kathleen Luers (Bernd) of Glendale, NY. Christine is also survived by her beloved cat Stella.
