Mrs. W. S. Milder, 86, of Iowa City, died Oct. 31 in Iowa City following a two-month illness.

Mrs. Milder was born Aug. 30, 1882, in Nichols, to John and Jane Sarachon Hooley. She graduated from high school at Denison.

She was married to William S. Milder, June 14, 1904, at Nichols. She lived in Scott township and moved to Iowa City in 1949. She was a member of St. Patrick's church, where she was a member of the Altar and Rosary Society.

Surviving are 5 sons, Robert, West Liberty; James, Algona; Leslie, West Branch; Charles, Ottumwa and Clement, Carol Stream, Ill.; 2 daughters, Mrs. George W. (Margaret) Smith, Davenport and Mrs. Russell (Mary Agnes) Gibson, Englewood, Colo.; 6 sisters, Agnes Hooley, San Diego, Calif.; Mrs. W. J. (Rose) Brugman, Portland, Ore., Mrs. C. J. (Margaret) Healey, Los Angeles, Calif., Ann Hooley, Kansas City, Mo., Theresa Hooley, San Diego and Mrs. R. J. (Geraldine) Weidert, St. Louis, Mo.

Her husband and one son, Louis, died earlier.
