Margaret E. Sturm, 89 of Iowa City died on Sunday, June 19, 2005 at Iowa City Rehabilitation Center after a lengthy illness.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday at 1:00p.m. At Lensing Funeral Service 605 Kirkwood Ave, Iowa City. A visitation will be held on Thursday one hour before the service. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to Iowa City Hospice.

Margaret was born November 1, 1915 in Iowa City, the daughter of Adam and Elizabeth (Pierce) Sturm. She worked for many years at the University of Iowa in the Laundry room while there she was awarded the Iowa Handicapped Worker of the Year. After her retirement from the University she later worked at the Holiday Inn and the Sheraton Hotel. Margaret loved to work.

She is survived by Doug Kolarik and his daughter Jordan. Grandma Margaret was a beloved member of the Kolarik family for over thirty years and will be greatly missed.

Her parents and her sister Elsie preceded her in death.
