Sandy J. Yeggy - Bixby, 47 of Oxford, died at her home Saturday, May 28, 2005 from complications of lung cancer.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday at Lensing Funeral Service, 605 Kirkwood Ave. Iowa City, with the Rev. Judy Gingerich officiating. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Lensing’s in Iowa City. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Sandy J. Yeggy - Bixby Memorial Fund.

Sandy was born August 7, 1957 in Iowa City, Iowa, the daughter of Wilfred and Georgena (Yeggy) Cline. She worked at ACT in Iowa City the Distribution Center.

Sandy is survived by her mother, Georgena Cline and step father, Del Cline of Cedar Rapids; her father, Wilfred Yeggy of Iowa City; one son, Troy Detweiler of Oxford; two daughters, Lesa O’Leary and Lacey O’ Leary, both of Oxford; her husband William Bixby of Nichols; two brothers, Carl Yeggy of Pine Bluff, AK, Richard Yeggy of Gainesville, MO; five grandchildren, Shanna O’ Leary, Codey Detweiler, Caleb Detweiler, Trever Stockman and Traeten Stockman and many nieces and nephews.

She is also survived by her former husbands, Eldon O’Leary of Iowa City and Donald Ringer of Marshall, MO.

Her one brother, Fred Yeggy and former husband Lynn Detweiler all preceded her in death.
