MISS ELLA MILLER YOUNG TEACHER DIES
Miss Ella Miller, former teacher in the Grinnell schools, and a daughter of Mrs. Alexander Miller, of Oxford, after a lingering illness, died at a local hospital. The remains were taken to Oxford for interment; a private funeral being held there on Sunday.Miss Miller’s father, Colonel Alexander Miller was well known, and at one time, had been editor of the Oxford Journal.
Surviving are the bereaved mother, two brothers, Judge Jess Miller and Howard Miller, both of Des Moines, and one sister, the wife of Professor Eugene Henley, of Grinnell. An uncle, the Reverend Dr. Miller, was for many years a minister of the Methodist church, and was for a time located in Iowa City.
Miss MilLer was a highly esteemed young woman and as an instructor, had won many friends, whose hearts will be saddened to hear of her untimely death.
