JOHN CARROLL PASSED AWAY
John Carroll died yesterday at his home at 11:30 o’clock.

Mr. Carroll was 77 years of age, and was a native of County Tipperary, Ireland. He came to America, after reaching manhood, and was a resident of Iowa City for 42 years.

He leaves three sons and two daughters, John J. of Iowa City, Reverend William E. Carroll, Marengo, James at home and Mrs. Schnoeblen, Bullville, New York and Isabella, at home.

In the time that Mr. Carroll lived in Iowa City he won many friends who will miss the genial companionship of the aged resident.

The funeral will be held tomorrow morning at 9:30 from his residence 208 Cook Street. Interment will be in St. Joseph’s cemetery.
