BEN W ABBOTT DIED LAST NIGHT
Benney W. Abbott died last night at 8 o’clock at a local hospital. The cause of his death was pneumonia following influenza. He was 42 years old the second of last September, was born in Iowa City, and was educated in the Iowa City schools, graduating from the high school.

Mr. Abbott was a well-known contractor, and has many friends in Johnson County. Surviving him are his wife and six children, Lois, Benny, Loid, Clyde, Alleene and Georgia, besides one sister, Mrs. George Warnecott of Kansas City, and three brothers, Henry, Charles, and Fred of this city.

The funeral will be held Monday at 2 o’clock, from Harmon’s undertaking parlors. The reverend C. Rollin Sherck will conduct the services. Interment will be in Oakland cemetery.

Friends of the grief stricken family sympathize with them in their affliction.
