M.E. MAHER DIES AT HOME
Rites for 69 year old Iowa Citian Will Be Held Here Tomorrow

Michael E. Maher, 69, retired farmer, died Thursday evening at the home of his son-in-law and daughter, Dr. and Mrs. Floyd W. Ernst, 319 Hutchinson Avenue, after a lingering illness.

Mr. Maher was born April 23, 1878. He was married to Miss Anna Seydel who preceded him in death on December 25, 1944.

Surviving him are four sons and five daughters: Lawrence F. Maher, Washington, DC; Michael D. Maher, William T. Maher, John E. Maher, Mrs. Floyd W. Ernst, Zita Maher and Ann Maher, all of Iowa City. Mrs. Eloise Henderson, Los Angeles; and Mrs. Fred Radloff, Wenatchee, Wash.

Also surviving are two brothers, Philip J. Maher of Iowa City and Dennis Maher, Davenport; and eight grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 9:30 o'clock tomorrow morning at St. Patrick's Church with burial in St. Joseph's cemetery.

The body is at the Hohenschuh mortuary where the rosary will be said at 8:00 this evening.
