Funeral services for William T. Maher, a former resident of Iowa City, will be conducted at 9:30 A.M. Friday at St. Patrick's Church. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery.

Mr. Maher was killed early Sunday in an automobile accident in Washington state. He had gone to Moses Lake, Wash., in 1958.

Mr. Maher was reported to have been returning from a football game in San Francisco at the time of the accident. According to information received here, his car skidded on an icy highway. He suffered a broken neck.

Mr. Maher was graduated from Iowa City High School in 1938. He later farmed.

He was a son of Michael E. and Anna Seydel Maher. He was married to the former Ada Marjorie Smith, who died in September, 1958.

Survivors include two sons, Michael and Thomas, and one daughter, Vickie. Also surviving are three brothers, Lawrence, of Washington, D.C., Michael, of Ft. Madison, and John, of Othello, Wash., and five sisters, Mrs. Zita Benda, of Bixby, Minn., Mrs. Laurene Ernst, of LaCrosse, Wis., Mrs. Eloise Henderson, Mrs. Ann Grothus, both of Los Angeles, and Mrs. LaVerna Radloff, of Wenatchee, Wash.

His wife, parents, and one sister preceded him in death.

The rosary will be at 7:30 P.M. Thursday at the Donohue Mortuary where friends may call after noon Thursday.
