Clifford C. Trinder Jr., 73, of Iowa City, died Friday April 22, 2005 at Mercy Hospital following a short illness.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 pm, Tuesday April 26, 2005 at Lensing Funeral & Cremation Service, 605 Kirkwood Ave, Iowa City. Friends and family may call for a gathering time from 11:30-1:30 pm Tuesday. Private family burial at Memory Gardens Cemetery. Memorials can be made out in Clifford’s name to the American Heart Association, 3741 Center Point Rd NE, Cedar Rapids, IA 52402.

Clifford was born July 9, 1931 in Vinton, IA to Clifford C. and Juanita Stufflebean Trinder Sr. Clifford was in the United States Air Force from 1951-1955. He married Jeanne Rowerdink on January 16, 1955 in Vinton. He worked for the University of Iowa as the Assistant Comptroller for 32 years before retiring in 1992. Clifford was a member of the American Legion Post #17, the B.P.O.E. of Iowa City and First Presbyterian Church.

Clifford is survived by his wife Jeanne, two daughters; Kathleen Anne Trinder of Urbandale, IA, Susan Dianne Adamson of Iowa City, a son; Steven Alan Trinder and wife Tamara Risen Trinder of West Des Moines, IA, two grandchildren; Jenna Marie Adamson of Iowa City Braeden Risen Trinder of West Des Moines. There is also one grandson on the way.

Clifford was preceded in death by his parents and several aunts and uncles.
