C. Ingeborg Nagler, 83, of Iowa City, died April 1, 2005 at Mercy Hospital following an unexpected illness.

Ingeborg chose to be cremated. A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held Thursday April 21st at 6:30 pm at Lensing’s Oak Hill in Coralville with Pastor Karl Devine Cook officiating. A memorial has been established in her name.

Ingeborg was born December 3, 1921 in Donauworth, Germany, the daughter of Ferdinand and Anna Katharina (Beulich) Strobl.
She married Xaver Nagler on September 29, 1941 in Erlangen, Germany. Xaver was reported missing in action in 1944 during World War II.

While in Germany, she worked as an x-ray technician. Moving to the United States in June of 1961, she lived for a short time in Alton, Iowa before moving to Orange City, Iowa where she worked as a loan clerk at Northwestern State Bank for twenty years. Ingeborg then moved to Coralville in 1990.

Ingeborg is survived by her daughter Birgit Huff and grandson Kyle Kingsley, both of Coralville.

Ingeborg was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.
