KALONA - Mrs. Ella Taylor, 83, of 421 Third Avenue in Iowa City, died early today at Mercy Hospital in that city. The funeral will be Monday at 1:30 p.m. in the Pleasant Hill Methodist Church at Joetown, with the Rev. Lloyd Bauer in charge. Burial will be in the cemetery there. A memorial fund has been established for the church.
Visitation will be at the Peterseim Funeral Chapel in Kalona.
Mrs. Taylor was born Aug. 8, 1891 near Kalona, a daughter of William and Emelie Zager Amelon. She was a member of the Rebekah Lodge, WCTU and the Farm Bureau Women. She married Ellory Taylor Feb. 3, 1915 and they have lived at Joetown until moving to Iowa City six years ago.
Surviving are her husband; one daughter, Mrs. Thomas (Ruby) Ayers of Iowa City; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death
