Myrtle Mercer, 60, died early Tuesday morning, March 19, 1974 in Mercy Hospital where she had been a patient since Sunday.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 1:30 p.m. at the Peterseim Chapel with the Rev. John Woodin officiating. Burial will be in the Cedar Memorial Cemetery at Cedar Rapids.
Mrs. Mercer was born Feb. 24, 1914 in Johnson County, a daughter of John and Verna Hartsock. She married Dave Fox Oct. 31. He died in 1952. She married William Mercer in 1953.
Survivors include her mother of Kalona; a daughter, Mrs. Robert (Jeanette) Madson of Cedar Rapids; two sons, Warren Fox of Waycross, Ga. and Rodney Mercer of Kalona; one brother, Raymond Hartsock of Vallejo, Calif. and one sister, Mrs. Lester Speas of Kalona.
She was preceded in death by her father, one brother and two sisters.
