J. McGlumphry Funeral Services Held Wednesday

James E. McGlumphry, 29, died early Sunday, June 30, 1974 at his home following a heart attack.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Peterseim Chapel, with the Rev. Raymond Lyons officiating. Burial was in the Frytown Cemetery. Pall bearers were Eldon Swartzendruber, Darrel Bridgewater, Eric Braman and Robert Rowland.
Mr. McGlumphry was born July 29, 1944, north of Kalona, a son of Robert and Arlene Ihrig McGlumphry. He was a graduate of Mid-Prairie High School and was employed at H.J. Heinz Co. in Muscatine. He was married June 10, 1972, at Mt. Pleasant to Linda Cabin who survives.
Other survivors include his mother of rural Iowa City; four sisters; Mrs. Michael (Barbara) Reider of Homestead, Fla., Mrs. Keith (Nancy) Seering of Alamagordo, N.M., and Rebecca and Roberta at home; three brothers; Gary of Iowa City, Robert of Fairfield and Michael at home.
His father and one sister preceded him in death.
