Izaak B. Meyers

KALONA - Izaak B. Meyers, 93, died today at the Pleasantview Home in Kalona, where he had lived for several years.
Services are scheduled for 1 p.m. Sunday at the Peterseim Funeral Chapel in Kalona, the Rev. Alva Swartzendruber officiating. Burial will be in Ridgewood Cemetery at North Liberty.
Mr. Meyers who was known as Ike, was born Oct. 10, 1880 in Johnson Couty, the son of Izaak and Sarah Moreland Meyers. He married Ivy Anderson Dec. 24, 1899 at North Liberty.
He was a retired farmer. He was a post master and 66-year member of White Marble No. 238 Masonic lodge in North Liberty, the Commandery Chapter and Council of Iowa City; KAABA Shrine, and was a life member of the North Liberty Methodist Church.
Surviving are his wife, also of the Pleasantview Home; a daughter, Mrs. Frank (Ceola) Tyner of Des Moines; two sons, S. Dale and Erman A., both of Davenport; two grandsons, and a great-grandson.
Four sisters and two brothers died earlier.
