William H. Stutzman

KALONA - William H. Stutzman, 85, of Frytown, died Monday at Mercy Hosptial in Iowa City, following a short illness.
Funeral services are set for 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Peterseim Chapel in Kalona, the Rev. J. John J. Miller officiating. Burial will be in East Union Cemetery.
Mr. Stutzman was born in Johnson County July 24, 1888, the son of John J. and Magdalena Slaubaugh Stutzman, and farmed in the area until his retirement. He married Katie Miller in December 1914 in Michigan. She preceded him in death in 1965.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. James (Elmeta) Ulin of Kalona; a grandson; one great-grandson; one foster daughter, Betty Crawford of Kalona; two sisters, Mrs. Thomas (Nellie) Kauffman of Clarksville, Mich. and Mrs. Lydia Gingerich of Manitou Springs, Colo., and a brother, Ervin of Kalona.
In addition to his wife, a son, a brother and six sisters died earlier.
