Sharon Man Taken In Death Tuesday Morning

Arthur A. Ressler, of Sharon died early Tuesday morning, February 15, at an Iowa City hospital, following an illness of three weeks.
Born October 1, 1881, the son of John Jacob and Fannie Ressler, he was the youngest of 13 children.
On November 7, 1906 he was married to Kate Lackender and they farmed in Sharon township, Johnson county for many years.
He was a member of the Sharon Evangelical church and Corona Chapter No. 297 of the Order of Eastern Star.
Surviving him are his widow; one daughter, Miss Mildred Ressler of Spirit Lake; two sons, Harold Ressler of Sharon; and Pfc. Dale Ressler of Camp Hood Texas; two brothers, Henry W. Ressler of Iowa City and Edward W. Ressler of Otis Orchard, Washington; five sisters, Mrs. Emma Hesselschwerdt of Kalona; Mrs. Anna Schwimley of Wellman; Mrs. Cora Smith, Mrs. Sarah Alt and Miss Laura Ressler all of Iowa City; and three grand children.
Funeral services will be held at the Sharon Evangelical church at 2 o'clock this afternoon (Thursday). Burial will be made in the Sharon Evangelical Cemetery.
