Wallace Nicola, 72, of Aurora, Mo., a native of Riverside, died Saturday at Springfield, Mo., after a long illness.

Funeral services were at 2:30 p.m. today at the George L. Gay Funeral Home, with burial in the EUB Cemetery at Sharon Center.

Mr. Nicola was born Nov. 26, 1902, at Riverside, the son of Walter and Ella Mae Huntley Nicola.

In 1923, he married Gertrude Stutsman who died in 1962. On Sept. 27, 1971, he married Leola Highbarger, at Miami, Okla.

He wts [sic] a member of the Church of Christ at Aurora.

Surviving are his wife, of Aurora; a daughter, Mrs. Mel (Dorothy) Tesdell, of Marshalltown; two grandchildren; a brother, Robert, of Iowa City; and a sister Mrs. Raymond (Minnie) Norgang, of Aurora.
