Laura Ressler Taken In Death Saturday Evening

Miss Laura Ressler, 81, lifelong resident of Sharon Center, died at 5 o'clock Saturday evening following a long illness.
Laura Ellen Ressler was born August 28, 1871 in Sharon township, Johnson County, one of thirteen children of John Jacob and Fannie Miller Ressler. She was a member of the Evangelical United Brethren church at Sharon and a member of Corona Chapter 297 O.E.S.
Surviving are a brother, Henry, with whom she made her home; another brother, Edwin of Otis Orchards, Washington; one sister, Mrs. Cora Smith, Iowa City and 26 nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and seven sisters.
Funeral services were held at the Evangelical United Brethren church south of Sharon Center at 2 o'clock Tuesday with the Rev. R.C. Pfaltzgraff in charge. Burial was made in the Sharon Cemetery.
