Graveside services for a former Iowa City resident, Leona M. Yoder, 80, will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the United Methodist Church Cemetery in Sharon Center.

Mrs. Yoder died earlier this week in Tacoma, Wash. following a long illness. Friends may call at the Beckman-Butherus Funeral Home.

Mrs. Yoder was born in Friend, Neb. in 1893. She was married in Denison, Iowa to Dr. Edwin Yoder and the couple lived in Iowa City while he attended the University of Iowa College of Medicine. They moved to Tacoma in 1924.

Surviving are a son, Edwin of New Jersey; a daughter, Sarah Jane Yoder of Tacoma; four grandchildren and one sister.

Dr. Yoder preceded her in death.
