LOU MARNER IS DEAD IN HOSPITAL
Lou R. Marner, passed away in an Iowa City hospital, failing to rally, after a blood clot on the brain attacked him fatally.
Prior thereto, he had undergone an operation for appendicitis, and so far as this was done was recovering finely, when the blood clot struck him down.
He had been ill for a week. The remains have been take to the old home in Wellman _______

SHARON MOURNS DEATH OF RESPECTED PIONEER
SHARON, Iowa, Dec. 13 - L. R. Marner, whose death was recently reported in the Press-Citizen, was laid to rest Friday. The largely attended services were hold at the Sharon Evangelical Church.
He was a former resident of the Sharon community, having spent his entire life there, with the exception of four and a half years on a homestead in South Dakota and the past year in Wellman. He live a worthy life and won the respect and love of all who knew him. His sudden death came as a shock to both the Wellman and Sharon communities. Seemingly he was recovering nicely from the operation which he underwent in and Iowa City hospital only three days before his death, which was caused by apoplexy, or a blood clot on the brain. Surviving are his wife and daughter and ten brothers and sisters and a host of friends. Interment was made in the Sharon Center Cemetery.
