Public Sale Sat. May 3, '30
As Moses Schrader is now living in the Old Peoples Home at Cedar Falls, Iowa, his property will be offered for sale, on the above date, at the W. Sleichter farm, on the Riverside Road, 3 1-2 miles east of Kalona, beginning at 1 p.m. the following list of articles, besides many items not listed. The chief items are:
Wide tired wagon; 5-ft McCormick mower; clover buncher; Boss harrow, 2 sets of harness; horse blankets; harness oil; chest of carpenters tools; one-man cross cut saw; scythe; log chain; heavy crow-bar; garden and other tools; poultry equipment; hand planter; chairs; range; table; 3 bedsteads; etc.

Rev. Moses Willima Schrader
Rev. Moses William Schrader, eighth child and youngest son in a family of seven brother and two sisters, son of Christian and Fredericka Schrader, was born in Sharon Twp., Johnson Co., Iowa, Dec. 25, 1861, and died at Western Old People's Home, Cedar Falls, Iowa, Sept. 20, 1932.
He was licensed to preach by the Des Moines Conference in 1891 and began preaching that year. During the following six years he served Clermont, Grandview, Blairstown, Evergreen and Center Point. In 1901 Bro. Schrader transferred to the North Western Conference and for two years served Slayton Mission. Following this he moved to the northwestern part of North Dakota, making that his home until he returned to Iowa in 1924. In December, 1929, he entered Western Old People's Home at Cedar Falls, where he was well cared for during his declining years. Only a few months after entering the home he suffered a stroke which kept him confined to his room until a recent second stroke resulted in his death.
Bro. Schrader is survived by a brother and the two sisters. Funeral services were held at Western Old People's Home, Cedar Falls, and in the Sharon Evangelical Church at Kalona, burial being in the Sharon Center Cemetery. Funeral services at Sharon by R.E. Kerney.
