KALONA
Herbert L. Hartzler, 87, a retired farmer from the Sharon Center area, died Monday at Pleasantview Home.
Survivors include his wife, Emma; six sons, Ronald, Vernon and Eugene, all of Kalona, Herbert J. of Iowa City, Lawerence of Fairfax, VA., and Robert of Eagle River, Alaska; four daughters, Marietta Yoder of Iowa City, Judith Weise of Colorado Springs, Colo., Ruth Southwick of Aurora, Ill., and Wilma Hawkins of Torrance, Calif.; 31 grandchildren; and 33 great-grandchildren.
Services: Thursday, 10 a.m., Sharon Center United Methodist Church, with burial in the church cemetery. Friends may call at Peterseim's. Memorials may be made to Pleasantview Home.
