C. C. Zager Dies; Funeral Thursday

Charles C. Zager, 94, a resident of Iowa City and a retired farmer, died today at a Wilton Junction nursing home.
Born in Iowa City September 26, 1862, he was a son of Carl and Minnie Hackbert Zager. He was married to the former Emma Grout in 1898.
Mr. Zager farmed in Sharon township until retiring and coming to Iowa City about 20 years ago.
He was preceded in death by his wife who died November 23. 1902.
Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Nellie Douglas, of Tucson, Ariz., and one niece, Mrs. Dave F. Gingerich, of Iowa City.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Oathout Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in the cemetery of the Sharon Evangelical United Brethren Church.
