Dorothy Ann Boller Wyatt, 68, of Arlington, Texas, died Saturday, September 11, 2010, after a house fire tragically took her life. Services were held Friday, September 17 in the Wade Family Funeral Home Chapel, Arlington. A celebration of life service was held Tuesday, September 21 at the Sharon Center United Methodist Church, rural Kalona with Pastor Doug Cue officiating. Burial was in the Sharon Center Methodist Cemetery.

Dorothy was born March 13, 1932 in Lubbock where the family live until moving to Oklahoma and finally settling in Fort Worth, TX when she was 6. She spent many summers with family in Iowa where she enjoyed playing on the Miller farm.

She attended the University of North Texas where she graduated with honors with a degree in drafting and design. She worked for Lockheed as an aviation designer before moving on to LTV where she met the love of her life, Theren. From there she went to General Dynamics and worked until retiring in 1995.

Dorothy married Theren Wyatt in December 1976. They enjoyed life together until his death in 2007. She was an avid antique collector and had been a member of her antique club for 40 years. She loved animals, especially her beloved, Molly. She enjoyed a social life with her college friends, The Slick 6, neighbors, friends and family. She was a true Southern Belle. She was a lady, full of hospitality and love for everyone.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jed and Ada Boller, her husband Theren, a brother Jack and his wife Alice Boller.

She is survived by two daughters, Tammy and husband Terrence Westbrook, Sharon and husband Dwain Allen; son, Gregory Wyatt; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren and one on the way; nieces, Lisa and Katie Miller; nephew Mike Boller and children, Gwen and Ryan. Local family, Mrs. Marjorie Miller and children.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to SPCA of Texas. Peterseim Funeral Home of Kalona was in charge of local arrangements.
