Genevieve Lucretia Yoder was born July 28, 1926 in Wellman, Iowa the daughter of Mahlon and Barbara (Hershberger) Swartzendruber. She was united in marriage to Allen M. Yoder on January 19, 1947 in McPherson, KS. Genevieve was a member of Sharon Center United Methodist Church where she sang in the church choir and the annual Christmas Cantata. She was also a member of the Women's Farm Bureau. Genevieve enjoyed flower and vegetable gardening, quilting, sewing, canning, and she was a wonderful cook.

Survivors include her three children and spouses, Robert (Pat) Yoder of Lone Tree, Richard (Cyndee) Yoder of Marion, Barbara (Richard) Frauenholz of Tipton, 10 grandchildren; Lane and Tiffany Yoder, Leicha & Matt Scranton, Lacey and Gordon Viers, Sharon and Jeff Scott, Josh and Wendy Yoder, Amanda Brown, Anna and Brian Whitlatch, Ali Jo and Jared Baker, Jill and Derek Long and Aston Diesburg and 18 great grandchildren and one on the way.

Preceding Genevieve in death were her parents, husband Allen on May 18, 2008, five brothers and two sisters.
