Mary E. Moore
KALONA - Mary E. Moore, 82, a lifelong resident of Kalona, died this morning at Mercy Hospital in Iowa City following a short illness.
Services are set for 2 p.m. Friday at Sharon Center United Methodist Church, the Rev. Robert E. Bishop officiating. Burial will be at Sharon Hill Cemetery, Kalona. Visitation will begin at 7 p.m. tonight at the Powell Funeral Home in Kalona. Contributions are being accepted to the Pleasantview Home in Kalona.
Mrs. Moore was born July 29, 1890 in Johnson County, the daughter of Albert and Magdalena Gingerich Snider. She was married to Vernard Moore on May 1, 1919.
Surviving are one sister, Mrs. W.W. (Ollie) Gingerich of Coralville, one brother, Frank Snider of Clayton, Ill., and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, in 1967, a son, Franklin, a brother and a sister.
