Mrs. Joseph Michel, an octogenarian, esteemed and loved by a large circle of friends, passed away Sunday morning at 10:40 at the family residence, 630 N. Dodge. The funeral will be held there tomorrow afternoon at 1:00, and from the German Lutheran church, a half hour later.

The interment will be in the family lot at Solon, where the husband sleeps.

Mrs. Michel had been ill a fort-night, and was a victim of a complication of ailments attendant on advanced age. She had lived hereabouts, 60 years, and was widely known in Johnson county.

Surviving are her three daughters and six sons--Frank, Iowa City; Charles and Arthur, Andover, Kas.; John, Walford; Joseph, Solon; Fred, North Liberty; and Mesdames Frank Pohler, Solon; and Jacob and Ed. Miller, Canby, Minn. -- Iowa City Daily Press
