Harold Weeber, 93

Harold W. Weeber, 93, of Pleasantview Home in Kalona, died Thursday, June 19, 2008, at Mercy Hospital in Iowa City following a short illness.
Celebration of life will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday a the Sharon Center United Methodist Church in rural Kalona with Pastor Doug Cue officiating.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. at Peterseim Funeral Home in Kalona, with a Masonic service at 6:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be at Sharon Center Cemetery.
Weeber was born June 10. 1915 to Walter and Kathryn Miller Weeber.
He graduated Sharon Center High School.
Weeber was a farmer and did seed corn sales for KC+ and Archer Oil Sales.
He belonged to the Sharon Center United Methodist Church, he was a 50-year member of Fellowship Lodge #549 in Sharon Center and was an avid Hawkeye fan.
Weeber was married to M. Helen Maier on Dec. 31, 1937, in Belle Plaine.
He is survived by one son and wife, Tom and Marjorie Weeber of Iowa City; one granddaughter Jennifer Weeber and husband Chris of Hazard, KY,; one grandson Brian Weeber of Iowa City; one great-grandchild Libby Weeber-Doll; and one brother Woodrow Weeber of Kalona.
Weeber was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Helen (June 11, 2008).
A memorial fund has been set up for Sharon Center United Methodist Church, Masonic Lodge #549, Pleasantview Home or family choice.
