Leslie Yoder, 53
Leslie R. "Les" Yoder, 53, of Kalona, died Monday, July 10, 2000, at University Hospitals after a sudden illness.
Services are pending at the Sharon Center United Methodist Church. The Rev. Doug Cue will officiate.
Mr. Yoder was born Feb. 6, 1947, in Iowa City, to Willard and Ellen (Stutzman) Yoder. He graduated from Iowa Mennonite School in 1965. He married Mary Winborn Nov. 21, 1969, at the Sharon Center United Methodist Church. He was a professional truck driver for more than 30 years at Yoder Feeds. He worked for the past three years for Plog Trucking and was currently empolyed at Twin County Dairy, where he had worked for the past year.
He was a member of the Sharon Center Methodist Church, Richmond AMVET Post No. 107, and the Riverside VFW.
Survivors include his wife; one son, Alan and his wife, JoAnn Moorhead, of Queen City, Texas; two daughters, Stephanie Yoder of Cedar Rapids and Lindsey Yoder at home; one grandson; and three sisters, Carmen Weber of Iowa City, Sally Talbert and her husband, Lane, of Lancaster, S.C., and Linda Loftis and her husband, Mike, of Shelby, N.C.
His mother died earlier.
