Mark Thomas Cook was born in Kansas City, Kansas, the son of Robert T. and Katherine Oltman Cook. He moved to Iowa with his parents and graduated from Mid-Prairie High School, Wellman, in 1982.

Mark had been employed by Goodwill Industires and was living in housing provided by Systems Unlimited. Mark was a very friendly, thoughtful companion of his co-workers and counselors. Memorials may be made to Systems Unlimited, % Hills Bank and Trust Co., Hills, Iowa.

Mark is survived by his parents, one sister, and brother-in-law, Lisa and Alec Scraton, East Lansing, Michigan, one brother, and sister-in-law, Douglas and Teresa Cook, McCallsburg, Iowa and one special cousin who was raised in the Cook home, Beatrice Oltman, Iowa City. Also surviving are his grandmother, Helen Oltman, Kalona and 3 mieces and nephews; Gregg, Audrey and Elizabeth Scraton.

Mark was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Theodore Oltman and his paternal grandparents, George T. and Florine Cook.

The family wishes to thank everyone who has shared with them in so many ways during this time of their loss. Your expressions of love will always be remembered.
