Duane Brenneman, 69, of Oxford, died Monday January 24, 2005 at his home.

Memorial service will be held Friday, January 28 at 8:00 p.m. at Lensing Oakhill Funeral Home, 210 Holiday Road, Coralville. Friends and family may call on Friday, January 28 from 3:00-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. A memorial fund has been established in Duane’s name.

Duane was born January 6, 1936 in Iowa City to Emil Duane and Ida (Flemming) Brenneman. He married Virginia Kastner on September 4, 1957. For forty years Duane owned and operated Duane Brenneman Masonry and Concrete along with his two eldest sons.

Duane is survived by his wife Virginia, four sons; Terry (Tresha) of Coralville, Christian (Lori) of South Amana, Jamey (Sherrie) of Oxford and Michael (Kathy) of Coralville. A brother Bob (Nancy) of Florida. Half brothers and sisters; Elmer, Steve, Sue, Nina, Jo Ann, Tom, Ronnie, Ginger, Linda, Pam, Cindy, Judy, Sharon, Donna, and Joe. Ten grandchildren; Jacob, Lucas, Joshua, Mayghan, Shannon, Matt, Aaron, Abbie, Ashley and Katelyn.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister Beverly and two granddaughters; Amanda and Samantha.
