Devin J. Fell, 40, passed away Sunday, January 9 at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics surrounded by family and friends after a brief illness.

Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, January 12 at 10:30 at Lensing Funeral Home in Iowa City. Burial services will take place at Memory Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be held Tuesday, January 11 from 4:00 – 7:00 pm at Lensing Funeral Home in Iowa City. A luncheon will follow the burial service at Faith United Church of Christ, 1609 Deforest Avenue, Iowa City. In lieu of flowers, a memorial service has been established in his name.

Devin was born July 7, 1964 in Iowa City to Norma and John “Scoop” Fell. He was a 1983 graduate of Iowa City West High School where he was active in sports. He was employed with Boyd Crosby Construction of Iowa City. He married Cathy Ann Brenneman on October 14, 2000 at Faith United Church of Christ in Iowa City. During his life he was an avid Iowa Hawkeye Football and Wresting fan as well as a NASCAR fan. He enjoyed endless hours of tummy rubs and ear scratches with his best four pawed friend, Spookie.

He is survived by his wife and best friend Cathy. He is also survived by his mother Norma of Iowa City and his brother Rob and his wife Julie and their two sons Jonathan and Ryan. He is also survived by sisters and brothers-in-laws Todd and Christine Zeman and their children Brynne, Zachary and Lucas; Gary and Colene Feldman and their children Ella and Emily, Joe and Carmen Donovan and their children Bailey, Brady, Riley and Owen and Cathy’s parents Brenda Brenneman and Vernon Brenneman. He was preceded in death by his father John Fell and his sister Debbie.
