Janet Leonard, age 42, of 310 Oberlin Street, Iowa City died, Wednesday, January 5, 2005, at her home from a sudden illness.
A gathering time in celebration of Janet’s life will be held on Tuesday, January 11, 2005, from 5 to 7pm at Gay & Ciha Funeral and Cremation Service in Iowa City. In Lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made in her memory to Systems Unlimited Foundation @ 1556 S. First Avenue, Iowa City, Iowa 52240. Janet was born August 16, 1962, one of twin daughters to Benny and Mary (Smith) Leonard. She graduated from West High School in 1981. Janet has been in the Systems Unlimited Program since1981.
Her family includes her parents, Benny and Mary Leonard of Bella Vista, Arkansas; sister, Pat Leonard of Reston, VA; two brothers and their wives, Tom and Kathie Leonard of Cape Coral, FL, and Matt and Kris Leonard of Iowa City.
Janet’s twin sister, Julie died May 9, 2002.
