Donna “Gibby” Burian, 79, of Iowa City passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 1, 2016 in Iowa City. A gathering for family and friends to celebrate Donna’s lifetime of spreading joy and love will be held from 11 – 1 pm on Saturday, October 15, 2016 at Lensing Funeral Home (605 Kirkwood Avenue, Iowa City) with a short sharing of tribute to follow at 1 pm. Donna’s remains will be interred at Oakland Cemetery. Donna is survived by her sons Mark (Dawn), Greg (Jen), and Phil (Dena), her brother, Michael (Deb), her grandchildren Kelly (Brad), Chase, Dan, Nikki, Jon (Emilee), Nehemiah, Craig (Kristen), Jaime (Erik), Ali, Noah, Rihanna, Jamal, Jensen, Madeline, and Kaden, her 10 great-grandchildren, and her son-in-law, Lee (Julie). She is predeceased by her parents, Les and Blanche Lawrence, her husband, Paul, her daughter, Katherine Reichelt, and her beloved horse, Cody. In lieu of flowers, Gibby's family would appreciate contributions to Miracles in Motion (2049 120th St NW, Swisher, IA 52338).
