Anne Sorrell Gill was born February 25, 1980, in Iowa City the daughter of Dr. Thomas J and Deborah A. (Cramer) Gill. She attended Coralville Central, Northwest Junior High, West High School, and then Kirkwood Community College. She became a mom to four beautiful daughters, and being a mom was the highlight of Anne’s life. She volunteered at the girls’ school, was active in the PTO, served as a Girl Scout Leader, and supported all the girls’ activities. Anne enjoyed art, music, holidays, travelling, watching movies, attending Camp Wapsie, as well as doing projects and activities, always doing something creative in her own unique way. Anne had a special place in her heart for her dogs, Oscar, Mojo, Chester, and Oswald; but ultimately, Anne’s greatest pleasure was spending time with her girls.
Her family includes her young daughters, Madeline, Carolina, Phoebe, and Ramona; long-time partner, Mike Ephraim, her parents, Tom and Deb Gill; sister (and husband), Drs. Maggie Gill and Michael Stefanik; grandfather, Dr. Raymond D. Gill; grandmother, Janet White Cramer; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Jeanette M. Gill; and grandparents, Shirley and W.D. “Web” Cramer.Anne was incredibly creative and saw beauty in things that others didn’t. – M. Ephraim
