Eduardo G. Montalvo, 73, formerly of West Liberty, died Wednesday, June 17th at Mercy Hospital.

A funeral service will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, June 21st at Lensing Funeral & Cremation Service, Iowa City, with The Very Reverend Rudolph T. Juárez officiating. The family will greet friends after 2:00 p.m.

Eduardo was born January 28, 1942 in Mexico.

For many years he was employed at Louis Rich Foods in West Liberty. He loved his family, and enjoyed fishing and the music of Elvis Presley.

Survivors include his wife, Esperanza Reyes, and their three children: Esmeralda Montalvo and Eric (Jessica) Montalvo, both of Iowa City, and Nelly (John) Cardenas of Waco, Texas; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; six siblings; and numerous extended family and friends.
