Kenneth J. “Jim” Moore, 76, of North Liberty, passed away Thursday, June 18, 2015 at Mercy Hospital - Hospice Care Unit.

A funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 25, 2015 at Lensing’s Oak Hill (210 Holiday Road, Coralville) with Kenneth Moore officiating. A visitation will be held from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 24, 2015 at the funeral home. Burial will be at Oak Hill Cemetery in Coralville. Following the graveside service will be a luncheon at The Lodge in North Liberty.

Jim was born August 18, 1938 in Iowa City, the son of Kenneth W. and Evelyn C. (Monroe) Moore. He was united in marriage to Judith A. Moore on July 16, 1960 in Cedar Rapids; she preceded him in death on April 24, 2007. Jim was employed by Curry Masonry, and was a member of the Bricklayers Union for his entire career. He enjoyed golfing, hunting, fishing, and any outdoor activity. Jim and Judith enjoyed traveling to Arizona, New Mexico, and Colorado.

Jim is survived by one son Kenneth Moore of Show Low, Arizona; one daughter, Sarah Moore of Riverside; one sister, Linda (Robert) Mitchell of Canyon City, Colorado; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Jim is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Judith; and daughter, Dawn Ham.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the American Cancer Society.
