Kathryn M. Klumforth, 91, of 1622 Lower Muscatine Rd, Iowa City, Iowa died Tuesday, December 23, 2003 at Mercy Hospital after a brief illness.

Kathryn chose to be cremated. There will be no visitation. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 PM Friday at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Iowa City.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Camp Courageous. Lensing Funeral & Cremation Service in Iowa City is in charge of arrangements.

Kathryn was born September 18, 1912 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa the daughter of Walter Lewis and Margaret Ann (Powlishta) Post. She grew up in Cedar Rapids, Iowa . On May 15, 1947 she married Charles Klumforth in Rock Island, Illinois. Upon her death, Kathryn donated her eyes to the Iowa Lion’s Eye Bank for research.

She is survived by her husband Charles “Charlie” of Iowa City; one daughter, Mary Kathryn Bowser and her husband Billy Ray of Cedar Rapids; a sister in law, Marjorie Post of Waterloo, several grandchildren, great-grandchildren & nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a son, David Keith Davis, a daughter, Margaret Ann Matthews, a sister, Thelma Louise Matejka and a brother Walter Post.
