Agnes C. Rohret

Mrs. Joseph (Agnes) Rohret, 80, of 505 10th Ave., Coralville, who years ago worked in rural Johnson County schools, died Tuesday at Mercy Hospital after a short illness.

Mass will be at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church, with the Rev. Joseph Denning officiating. Friends may call after 2 p.m. Thursday at the Donohue-Lensing Mortuary. The Altar and Rosary Society will recite a rosary at 4 p.m. and the parish rosary will be at 7 p.m. Thursday at the mortuary. Burial will be at St. Peter's Cemetery in Cosgrove, Donations may be made to St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church.

Mrs. Rohert was born 1 July, 1902, in Cosgrove, a daughter of Albert and Helen (Ryan) Kessler. She married Joseph Rohret Sept., 26, 1926, in Cosgrove.

She was a graduate of St. Peter's High School in Cosgrove and Ottumwa Heights College in Ottumwa. She was a member of St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church, the Altar and Rosary Society , and the Order of Catholic Foresters.

Survivors include her husband; one son, Leslie Joseph of Glenview, Ill.; one brother, Louis Kessler of Iowa City; and three sisters, Helen Rohret of Coralville, Mary Alois Kessler, and Genevieve Kessler, both of Iowa City.

Three brothers, and one sister died earlier.
